About Rt. 183 Car Wash
Rt. 183 Car Wash is a self-service car wash in Leesport, Pennsylvania. It is listed at Leesport, PA 19533, which places it among the local businesses of Leesport that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
In Leesport, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Pennsylvania, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Rt. 183 Car Wash at (484) 599-2094; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 120 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Leesport is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Leesport is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Clean bays to wash your cars. Also have an automatic car wash. It's 3.50 for 5 minutes. They have a change machine. Vending machines for drying towels.

I used to really love this place, but it does a lousy job on my black 2023 Grand Cherokee. It doesn't clean the back (window / lift gate, etc.) at all. The rinse cycle doesn't remove all of the soap, and the blower does a poor job drying it, causing me to have to wipe down the whole vehicle when I get home. I still use it on occasion, knowing I will have to finish the job by hand because there aren't any other touchless car washes (which I prefer) in my area.

This place is a complete upgrade from a previous placed I would go to. Everything works! They have plenty of spaces for vacuuming and drying your car. I've yet to arrive and have to wait on anyone to finish washing their car. They also have a push through car washing station if you don't want to hand wash. I enjoy the location and when the sun starts to get low I still feel safe with the visibility from the lot lights.

Used to be the “hidden gem” of Reading area car washes; Always a decent wash at a good price. Recently they “upgraded” and by upgraded I mean they added some new equipment and doubled the prices…. The car wash itself is average to decent but not worth the money. For the same price you can get a better wash plus wind/towel drying included.

This car wash is of the self-serve variety, it was clean, all the components of the car wash was in perfect working order, the only issue I had and this could be easily remedied by bringing newer bills but the change machine seemed way too sensitive and would not except my dollars which cost me a lot of time. This car wash is, however, the only one I've ever seen that has a handheld blower dryer that was so powerful that it worked great no more drying my truck with towels to avoid water spots. The dryer alone is what will make this my exclusive car wash.
